Hi there,

Thank you for the detailed description. The back label code indeed indicates the year of production, which would be 1975 in this case. This also fits the label-style of the bottle. Your bottle is in a fair condition for age, although the fill-level is a bit lower, at high shoulder (no capsule is 100% airtight).
Dewar's always has been among the top 3 best-selling blended whisky in the USA, so older bottles are fairly common. I would expect your bottle to sell for $20 to $35 at auction.

If you don't mind, I would like to ask you a favor: could you please upload a picture of the bottom of your bottle? I'm assembling a database of the markings on the bottom of whisky bottles and it would love to add a picture of your bottle to my database.

Hope this was helpful,
Emile
