Brandy, or even better Grand Marnier which is orange brandy that is sweet. Fantastic stuff. If you do just brandy try making a tea bag of cinnamon stick, orange peel, cardomom, and anise seed with a couple of cloves (like mulled wine). If you want a decent recipe look for my posting on Glogg (just do a search from the home page)

Applejack is alcohol fermented from hard cider so it would figure that would go well with the cider. Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm confused. Isn't apple wine supposed to be fermented, or is this just another way of getting the same taste?

They are not talking about wine. They are talking about making a drink.

I'm thinking about trying drink called Peach Cobbler with hot apple cider & peach schnapps but cannot handle liquor, as it burns my face, ears, & chest. Back in high school, I loved the classic Fuzzy Navel : peach schnapps with orange juice & thought that apple cider might be my new cup of tea. What can be mixed in with coffee too'

I agree. Break both of his hands. I had 3 major surgeries this year and spent most of the year in bed & wheelchair & now that I'm up & using walker, he decided he wants to stay home. He doesn't have cable & I'm not going to let him ruin my night. My building is having a lame party from 8-12, but 200 people live here and they require tenants to bring food for everyone & I'm not doing that coz I can't afford to and omly a handful of people like me or even know me so alone with a tv dinner & can soda & early bed for me. Sucks to be me

I use moonshine over the Holidays It works quite well with apple cider. Actually apple cider and moonshine are 2 of the main ingredients to apple pie moonshine. If interested let me know and I will pass along my recipe to ya.

Take your pick of alcohol when it comes to coffee... you can use Kaluha or bailey's Irish creme... Jameson Irish whiskey is great!! You can also use Armaretto....

Rum for cider.
kahlua for coffee.
Doesn't sound like you could take whiskey but an Irish coffee is whiskey with coffee and it's great.
If i want something a little less strong I go with Kahlúa
