Ok. here is what i did:

I mixed 1 packet of yeast, 2 cups of sugar, and 1 gallon of water together. I am told that this makes an unpleasing to taste alcohol that is drinkable after fermentation.

Well, I already know that it would taste displeasing, but would it produce a drinkable Alcohol (even thought it wouldn't taste great)? I have also been told that all I would have to do is distill it (in my dreams of course)to produce Vodka.

Also, I know you can make wine's from Frozen Fruit Concentrate, does this include Orange Juice Concentrate? If so, 2 cans OJ-Concentrate,
2Cups Sugar, 1 gallon water, 1 pack yeast, let ferment for 7-10 days correct?

Thanks ahead of time, gprime

I just made a 1/2 gallon of hard cider with suger/maple syrup and a half packet of yeast. I took the rest of the yeast and mixed it with a concoction that I made of warm water.. strawberry jam (no preservatives, yeast dies in them) syrup and sugar. I just drank it a few minutes ago.. It looked scary but after I strained out the sediment at the bottom and tasted it, it wasn't that bad! who knows.. maybe mixed half and half with some juice it might be better. I guess you can make whatever you want as long as there are no preservatives, warm water and sugar for the yeast to eat. I dont know about orange juice.. may be too acidic. try berries. the hard cider rocks and its super easy.

If you keep the cider seperated from oxygen and let it sit and settle for a while it will eventually clear out on its own.
OJ will work but you would be making what we affectionately call prison wine. As far as making easy cheap drinkable alcohol you cant beat cider, you get a gallon or 5 of it and drop in some ec1118 yeast and let it ferment dry, then add some sugar when you drink no worries.

Seriously??? You want to ferment sugar and water and then actually drink it??? And I thought using frozen OJ was for the hillbillies!

Maybe go and buy....or steal... up to you.. some apples and ferment them
