I am sure every one agrees that wine is on of the things in life, that besides being what it is, embodies within itself multitudes of stories.
Stories of where the grapes where grown, how that years harvest went, what winery the grapes were transformed into wine, and so on.
Wine folk, also happen to be probably the most romantic or story filled kind of people around.
You need time to sit and properly mull over a glass of wine. It needs all your attention, and if its good wine, it returns your attention twofold.
That is why, I am always interested to know where people are coming from. How did people come to be wine tasters or connoisseurs…
The Corkdork has just such a story - he grew up to a wine loving father and wine talk was happening over his head over dinner, forever…I grew up in a much more practical environment, in which children supped in the kitchen, especially with guests around so I never got to sample sophisticated wine talk as a child. (I don’t think there was any, really…) Anyway, enough about me - go and read about the Corkdork
