I compared the prices between Denmark and Sweden som 6 months ago. Now I`ve done it again Systembolaget wants 449,- Skr for a bottle of Ardbeg 10yo. A bottle of Bowmore Darkest goes for 489,- Skr, and the Lagavulin 16yo goes for 529,- Skr.
That`s 353,81 DKK, 385,-, and 416.85 Danish kroner respectively(at todays date`s exchange rate of 78,88 DKK for 100 Skr.).
In Denmark, these bottles goes for 465,- DKK,495,- DKK, and 385,- DKK respectively. For some reason, the Lagavulin is extremely expensive in Sweden(compared to dk), but all in all, you save;
1 - (465+495+385)/(353.81+385+416.85) = 16.38%
If you buy your single malts in Sweden!

VISA card That decreases the savings to some 13%, if you buy in sweden instead of Denmark.
Same conclusion though /Stig

...which applies to you, I believe?
My comment referred to the accuracy of the equation itself, and not to the fact that the irrelevant cost (bid/ask currency spread) of the transaction would have wiped out such a price difference.
Be sorry for yourself.

to Denmark to buy beer and wine. Btw, Norwegian prices are 584NOK for Bowmore Darkest, 499NOK for Ardbeg 10 and 470,50 NOK for Lagavulin 16. And yes, 100DKK= 97.50 NOK.... Any place on earth expensiver than Norway? Anders
