King William IV VOP Value

I came across a bottle of King William IV VOP Scotch Whiskey. I am trying to determine the value of the bottle. It is unopened and in mint condition. It has been in a basement cellar for at least 20 years. Any ideas on a value for this? any help would be appreciated

That whiskey is a stock standard blended scotch, so you wouldn't be looking at getting much for it. You might be able to sell it at auction for US$15 or so, but probably best to just crack it open to enjoy on those cold lonely nights

There you go. Assume that just because it is a standard quality scotch, it won't be worth much. KWIV is a brand which is owned by Diageo. Within the group, it was owned by a small Glasgow company called John Gillon & Co. Gillon doesn't really exist any more - they were licensees for Glenury-Royal distillery and were latterly a subsidiary of Ainslie & Hielbron, the licensees for Oban distillery.
