dont know about just sugar water. I think I would have at least put in some rasins. Someone else has said the same make banana wine. Yes you are on your way to making a drink that has alcohol in it, well guess you can mix it with something.

All wine needs aging that dose not mean you cant drink it, even before it clears, the idea of aging it is for it to taste good.

I cant even imagine what this concoction might end up tasting like. But about the banana wine, I think I remember Destinyrae_99 saying something along the lines of if you drink it too early you can crap through a screen door without hitting the mesh. So keep that in mind arkwright.

hey arkwright

putting the berrys in late will be fine. im glad to see you have a artistic spirit about all this. i think this is best, i have broken many rules and made some great discoveries.

there is plenty of literature on the net and utube about wine making.

one word of advice. keep some good notes.

also ive seen a guy on utube make a basic spirit just to make "moonshine". he only used sugar and water. he probably use yeast nutrient and all that too. he used one of the yeasts that will produce 18%.

i think if i was doing it for this purpose i would use a 1/2 of can of 100% pure welches concord grape per gallon.

the grape has everything.

cheers amigos!

I hope your timeline hasn't been from the when you made your first post. Six days isnt enough time to make wine. It should take months. The quickest I have ever made a batch was 2 months and it still is not degassed enough to be enjoyed.

i have tried many 30 day wine experiments. i have had some good success even tho they turn out to be 40-50 day wines. it depends on what u like and how well u can tweek your formula.

im not a wine snob but, i have made some really tasty young wine.
