Boston brewpub suggestions, please

I`m planning a trip to Boston and need the skinny on where to find the good beer. I made the mistake of asking the same question of the group who`s planning the event, to which I was advised of a pub selling $1 glasses of PBR. Arrrgh!

Just that location? Their beers at the Braintree location also taste "dumbed down". They do have location going for them, though. I`m still upset that Quincy Ships closed. Very good brewpub in both beer and food. Lousy location, though. ; I`d also highly recommend The Tap / Haverhill Brewery, it`s an hour ride on ; the commuter rail, but well worth the visit. So that`s where he went. IIRC, he was the brewer at Quincy Ships. If it is the same person, then that IS a good selection of brews.

BeerAdvocate.com is planning another trip up there in support of Tod`s efforts. You should come with us if you`re in the area. Keep an eye on http://beeradvocate.com/events/ for upcoming details. Last time I was there he also had on his Oktoberfest, which he brewed with Horst Dornbusch, his wonderful Alt (drool) and about 5 other brews. All were insanely tasty.

I first heard of him in conjunction with Commonwealth, who`s beers were great. Back Bay was an inconvenient place for me to get to, but when I moved to Quincy, I found Quincy Ships by accident (I was doing a "where`s the supermarket? Where`s the CVS?" self-tour, and went, "Oh! A brewpub! Cool!" and then later found out that Tod was the brewer.

Beer Works. Two locations in Boston, one across from Fenway Park and one down the street from North Station. One location in Salem.
John Harvards. Two locations, one in Harvard Sq, Cambridge, and one in Shopper`s World, Natick.
Watch City. Moody St, Waltham.
Cambridge Brewing, Kendal Sq, Cambridge
