hi there
just wondering if i could get a hand of a few people in here.
This is my first time brewing anything at all so all is new to me so sorry if some questions sound a bit dumb.

First of i did everything on the back to the exact instructions, put it in the fermenter. Just wondering with the air lock thingy do i have to put anything in it at all? i heard a tiby bit of water.
and if or when i put the water in it is it supposed to bubble and if it is how long will it take to start doing that.???

also my brew is in a dark place of my house and its no way 32 degrees in there but my guage is saying the brew is 32. is that becasue it has only been in there about 4 hours and hasnt had time to cool yet.

as i said sorry for the dumb question but i do need the answers

thanks heaps

Depends on the yeast, temp, sugar, a lot of things. It usually takes 24 hours for the yeast to get happy, then it starts to multiply, then it will start to ferment the sugar (eat). Be patient, should see something in another 24

Never made it. Just make sure you measure the Specific Gravity and check it against the recipe. Fermentation time varies because of a lot of things, the way to be sure where you are is to measure.
