Sunset Grill and Tap is one of the better Beer Bars in town. Huge menu (beer and food).
Check it out at: http://www.allstonsfinest.com/index.htm

Bukowski - beer bar on Dalton St between Hynes Convention Center and the Sheraton (but across the street). Closest T stop - Hynes Convention Center (green line). Great beer list. No idea if they serve food, but bring ID. They seem to card everyone, regardless of age and if you don`t have ID you have to leave.
Boston Beer Works - brew pub. One location across from Fenway Park and one near the Fleet Center. I`ve been going to BBW for about 10 years now, and love it, though I haven`t yet been to their "new" Fleet Center location. Closest T stop for the Fenway location is Kenmore (green line), the closest for the Fleet Center is North Station (green line).
Cornwall`s - beer bar. Kenmore Square (closest T stop is Kenmore (green line), exit the turnstiles, turn right, go up the stairs and it`s right there). Good tap list, including a couple of cask beers. Their old location across the street had more charm, but the new place is spiffier. They serve halfs, which I really like because I can try more varieties that way without getting sloshed.
Sunset Grill in Allston, mentioned by another poster, has a fabulous beer list, though they`re much farther out than either BBW or Bukowski. Not sure of the closest T stop, because I generally take the bus there (I live in Cambridge)
John Harvard`s - brew pub. Closest T stop Harvard Sq (red line). Good brews, good food. I think their beers in recent years have become a little boring, but that also might be because I go there too often.
Cambridge Common - beer bar. On Mass Ave between Harvard & Porter on the red line, closest stop probably Harvard. Good tap list, good rotation of beers, good turnover in kegs so brews are usually nice & fresh. Good pub fare.

Is constantly attacking posters all that you can contribute? By the way, loved your contribution. Very helpful.
Anyway ...
It gave the person asking the option to view hundreds of reviews by people who visited beer establishments in the area. I think there`s value in that, and it answered their question.

you. Crafty old fart. BTW, you forgot to tell Joel to eat a bag of dicks and call him an old sausage jockey. But hey, we all have our off days.
ObBeer: For being one of the original great civilizations, the Greek sure can`t brew beer for shit. Better than their wine, though.

link to Pubcrawler or any of the other review sites out there. No big deal.
FWIW, however, it does seem the only time you do pop up is when there`s a chance to post a link to your site. I don`t have a problem with that per se, but it would be nice to see some more people contributing some actual conversation here - such as posting a link to rec`s, plus pointing out which are your favorites, in this particular instance - instead of directing conversation elsewhere and occasionally whining about how the amount and level of discourse here has gone downhill. (To be fair, that might have been your brother that made that particular whine; you`re pretty well interchangeable to me.)

Exactly. Usenet group. I personally get nothing out of it. I post links for their value in reply to posts that I`m interested in. No offense, but I could give a rats ass if someone agrees with this or not. of course.
