So, I get a phone call today on my cell phone that says “number unavailable.” I think, oh hell, I haven’t had the chance to heckle a telemarkeer in awhile, why not? After answering, I realize it’s my local farm extension agent with a distressed note in his voice. He’s all apologetic- what could the reason be for his call? Well, supervisors have a tendency to come down here every now and again, and his did. Which is the reason for his call- Supervisors make you corrct your mistakes, and that was not a Riesling as he had thought, but yet a Pinot Gris, sorry for the missed communication.

I do not like Pinot Gris. It is pronounced Greeasey, kinda like the wine tastes. If I had known, I would not have put forth the effort. Now, I have 4 galons of juice I have to del with. I also have Premum Cuvee yeast starter going while the must sterilizes. This is the ‘point of no return’, so to speak. I guess I will have to learn how to cook chicken and fish with lemon now too.
